I am on Emozul 40mg which I think is similar. I suffered from silent reflux at night - the benefits of Emozul don't always last 24 hours and ran out whilst I was asleep. I changed to taking it about 4pm instead of the morning so if it was going to stop working I was awake and upright! If this happens I find a small glass of milk sorts it out. I hope his is helpful for you.

I’ve had scleroderma for 30 years and now my GERD is to the point where I’m nauseated 24/7. I’ve tried all the nausea Rx’s And nothing works except cannabis edibles. It’s the only way I can eat. I’m 65 and down to my high school weight of 123 lbs. This is the only time in my life I’ve wanted to gain weight. My heartburn is just as frequent. My pharmacist orders Rugby’s aluminum hydroxide gel which is antacid without magnesium (which causes diarrhea). I drink it like water, but it does work. You don’t need a prescription. Stay away from coffee, sodas fried food and chocolate. Make dinner your lightest meal and eat early. Hope this helps!

Wow! That's what I'm wanting for the pain. Thanks for the heads up on eating early ect. I get nauseous out of no where. I drink Emetrol. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. I'm so new with these conditions it's already driving me nuts! I hate the Raynulds meds I'm on. I'm on oxygen . doc thinks it's from these conditions even tho I'm stage 2 Copd. I also have fibromyalgia

I feel for you, the burning from reflux is miserable :( I am on Omeprazole which I used to take just before I went to bed - as the asthma specialist was concerned that it may be causing with night-time bouts of coughing - the main trouble with that is that the coughing would indicate that the acid was not remaining in the stomach once I was horizontal & was aggravating & possibly damaging my lungs. When I was going through bad patches I would double up with a second dose in the morning. For me it can be very unpredictable & I use Gaviscon double action tablets for rapid relief to good effect. Having spoken to someone who suggested that cutting out bread & minimising refined goods had helped them to keep things under better control. So for the last week I have cut out all bread & although it is early days I haven't reached for the Gavison, or doubled up the meds, I think that this might be something that might help me. I will in time do more research on other dietary changes that might help me re-claim a bit more control. I cannot see me giving up the Omeprazol, as I would be concerned about the damage long term reflux might do if I do not control it well. The medical professionals have kept me safe so far, I am not walking away from their answers, I just want to be part of the solutions moving forward. I hope that the Omeprazole works for you.
