Has anyone used triamcinolone acetonide for fingertips to avoid ulcers?

Hello there, has someone prescribed this for you with this intention? It is a topical steroid cream...medium to strong potency, that is usually used for inflammatory conditions of the skin such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes etc. It isn't designed to have an impact on the peripheral circulation.

Does this cream help for keloid type nodules that are appearing across my chest area? Would these raised, thickened skin "bumps, lumps" be considered calcinosis or dermatitis?

Hello, you really need to see a dermatologist for advice about your lumps to identify what they are and then what is the best treatment for them. Keloid scars are very different to dermatitis, which is literally inflammation of the skin, and calcinosis, which is very specific to scleroderma and tends to be found predominantly in the hands where it is very obvious that the white lumps have calcium deposits under the skin and frequently break through the surface of the skin to discharge. I have never seen it in the chest area.

Do you have a Rheumatologist who is reviewing you? Or a Dermatologist? Or at least a GP who knows you?

Thank you for your response. Yes to all the questions. I read if I mixed SSKI with DMSO, the solution would soften these keloids. There are raised areas and many more unseen but felt under when I run my hand across my chest. I also have very tight, hardened, forearms. None of my doctors have an answer for me.
