Does anyone else have knobbly, misshapen knuckles as a result of Raynauds? A couple of mine have developed bumps. When I mentioned it to my doctor, she just said it's arthritis, however the joints aren't painful and it's just the top knuckles, which is the part of my finger most affected by Raynauds.

Knobbly Knuckles
You may be developing calcinosis which is hard calcium based crystals under the skin (sometimes it is softer like toothpaste). Eventually these may come closer to the surface and they become extremely painful just prior to erupting. Try your best to keep them warm and keep your hands moisturised.
Mine aren't misshapen yet but do have something wrong with them. As the hospital are seeing me every 2/3 months to try and calm down my Raynaud's, they saw my finger joints and said it was called clubbing. My left index finger is bad at the moment as the skin is drying up and the skin is cracking and slightly painful.
Yup ..i got one finger went knobby and i cant straighten it out..my worst finger for reyneaud...
I have both hands deformed and there is nothing they can do its common name is mechanic hands even my thumbs are going round so just keep them warm and adapt
To be short and sweet.....yes. But my finger joints are painful too.
i have the same Dr said its fine don't worry - not very helpful because sometimes they are very painful
Thanks everyone. It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one with this problem
