Hi everyone I am feeling tired of trying to get some help, today I have seen my GP insisting that I have blood tests done confirming my diagnosis, I am hoping for a positive answer as I am struggling with every day tasks; pains in hands, feet ,knees and hips. I can no longer do anything without suffering pain and its getting to me lately.

I am telling you you should try going dairy free and gluten-free one so I did this the pain in my hands completely resolved probably I could say 90 to 95% perfect but once I eat gluten it comes back. gluten can cause inflammation for some and not for others others that may not have a problem with it for me I have a problem with that I don't have celiac disease but I have a gluten sensitivity and I am keenly aware of this because when I screw up my diet by eating dairy or gluten i get the pain back. This was A preferable choice over the medication Celebrex which has the possible side effects of a heart attack or stroke. 4 to 5 months of pain resolved in 48 hours once I ceased gluten and dairy no joke not kidding. It wouldn't hurt just to try it. John Bergman is a chiropractor out in California who puts out videos on YouTube he will do a free consultation via Skype or whatever I don't know what video it is that you get that information but I know he does do free consultations you could just try going gluten-free and dairy free and see what happens

Wow this is great info. It's worth applying for myself too. I do thank you for sharing.

And Millimooga63, I am praying for you and I'm sure you will be improving very soon. The above insight is really worth trying, I believe. Thank you, Lickylicky.

I forgot to mention it's tough at first because you feel like a social outcast when everybody else might be eating pizza maybe you're eating salad and that's precisely what I do whenever I go out to eat I bring my gluten-free dressing along in a little 2 ounce container knowing that the dressing at most restaurants either may have gluten or they may have dairy. Also you have to supplement for example I take 400 mg of folate since I'm no longer eating cereal which contains folate and bread which contains folate. also i drink almond milk which has double the calcium of milk which is a nice thing hope this is helpful again you'll only know if you just give it a try that's a given good luck I hope it works

Hi milliemoga63. Try not to get too stressed out. It does sound as if you need to have your pains investigated properly. Without a definite diagnosis it will be hard to offer you effective treatment. In my experience it can took a while to convince the GP that I was not imagining things. However, I persevered and eventually I got a diagnosis then all began to make sense.

I cried many bitter tears because I was convinced something dreadful was happening to me. It took about fifteen years or more to discover what was going on with me.

I eventually had to give up work some ten years now because of constant joint pains and numerous other symptoms. None can be cured but I am managing fairly well. The pains are constant even with strong pain relief so I know just how you feel. Also, it is not just the pains but the general feeling of unwellness and discomfort which makes doing anything a struggle. Because of all these feelings there is the depression and the lack of social life due to the limited ability to get round and about.

Only other sufferers truly understand and sympathise. I found out that some of my family members started to not want to hear about my suffering so now when I am asked by them how I am, I just say I am fine. I thank God for my friends. All have been there for me and are truly wonderful.

I am saying this to encourage you to keep fighting. Things will get easier to cope with but it takes time with the right support. I hope you have some supportive people around you.

I cannot say it enough, this forum is a great place to find support, useful information, understanding and encouragement so keep us posted on your progress.

I wish you all the best for the future.
