Getting depressed
I have had Scleroderma for 14 years, about 10 yrs. ago went through panic attacks, depession. My dr. put me on 100 mg. of Zoloft and it helps. Good Luck!
I had a bad spell with illness recently and GP had a good chat about depression. It's something they watch out for with this sort of relentless, wearing condition. See your GP (s)he can help. Take care.
Unfortunately Depression plays a big part in Scleroderma, with me it was the Mind is telling the Physical to do such and such, and the Physical says....' Not going to happen today.'
I have been on Sertraline for the past 8 years, and have undergone many counselling sessions over the years. ( This can be tailored to the individual.).
I would suggest you discuss the various medications available, and if you are concerned enough, you could ask your GP for a counselling referral.
Regards, take care.
This is a wonderful forum and good advice. Part of my depression is I have erectile dysfunction, and feel inadequate. All though I am in a new relationship and she is quite understanding, I feel that I am losing her. I know this isn't an Agony aunt site, but I thought I would let you know my situation. Once again thanks for all your replies.
