Hey AMDP! I've actually been taking 100mg tumeric/day since last Fall for my OA, to help decrease joint inflammation. I also have severe R's and erythromelalgia...have NOT noticed that it directly relieved symptoms of either. Nonetheless, it is a powerful and natural anti-inflammatory, and may ease some of ur symptoms.

Many thanks for replying. Sorry to hear you are so poorly.

I suspect I may have to not even bother with turmeric as I have an acid stomach and frillyhilly says it can cause that.

All the best,

Ax

Hi!

A few years ago, I tried Turmeric as a general health boost and to help with joint inflammation.

I am allergic to a lot of non-steroidal anti-inflamtories (eg asprin, ibruoprofen) or my body takes a "no tolerance attitude", so I hoped this would help me with my inflamed joints.

After a couple of weeks of turmeric my stomach started to feel acidic and sick, so I had to stop.

So please just be aware of this,

N

(P.S. I have a vague recollection that my pharamacist told me that it thins the blood - in my case this was not a problem, but my husband has high blood pressure and diabetes - both controlled by meds - so he was advised not to use it)

Wow, many thanks for that. I really couldn't cope with my stomach being any more acid than it already is.

All the best,

Ax
