It got really cold on Friday - it was -5 when I left the gym and it was agony until my car started to get warmer. I got home and found that I couldn't undo my shoelaces on my trainers so my partner had to do them for me. He also de-iced my car first thing for me today when it was -3. They say it will get milder again mid-week - we can only hope so!

Hi Emma and Adrian, I have had Reynauds for about a year now (since pregnancy) and I have been experimenting with a simple finger insulation covers as I wanted to avoid systemic medicines which my GP suggested, My latest version worked v well this morning (-5 oC) in Edinburgh, and I was working outside a bit last week and managed to avoid any attacks. I was thinking I should look in to seeing if I could make some kits to send to people to make their own or make them up and send them, If you are interested and don't mind being a guinea pig, email me and we can discuss it. Just started using this site so not sure how you send a private message yet!

cheers Christine

I'm also very interested in your finger insulations. I have failed medications and I've been told to move to a warm climate. I have electric insoles and electric gloves which are not helping this year. I have continuous attacks in my hands, fingers, toes and hand which it takes hours to get them back. I have continuous attacks this year besides blue purple white and red I'm now having black episodes. If I try to exercise within two minutes I cannot feel my hands, knees, or feet. I also let my vehicle warm up for about thirty minutes but I still have episodes. Any change causes an attack on my if I get in shower if the wind blows even if its 85 degrees outside I still get attacks. The only recommendation I get is to move and the doctor where I live said they have never seen raynauds so bad. Unfortunately, its not that easy to move. I've had raynauds for 10 years and i ead told it would get milder but mine never did!!
