Surgery on the back for a reoccurring BCC

Hi I was wondering if anyone has had surgery n the back near the shoulder to cut out a BCC.

My daughter had treatment with chemotherapy type ointments that we thought had solved the problem, it certainly wasn’t pleasant, 6 months later it was checked and was thought to be ok as well as 3 smaller on her upper chest.

It is now 2 years since and her appointment cancelled during Covid , at her last appoint it was thought the larger BCC was ok still but today at her appointment with the specialist nurse, it has been recommended to have it removed in the next 10 weeks.

My concern is that it is quite large and worry that it is not too deep, should we ask for a scan? Originally they said it was too big to have surgery, although after the first treatment it is slightly smaller.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Ann
