I have just recently removed gluten from my diet and was SHOCKED how much less pain I had. I do however feel sort of sick. Anyone else?

I have avoided obvious gluten sources like breads and felt significantly better and less bloated. Even though my test for gluten intolerance came back negative, I am continuing to avoid gluten because I do feel better. I also cut way back on dairy and only put a little organic milk on cereal.

My acupuncturist says there aren’t other proteins that ppl have sensitivities to but are not tested for. They only test to see if one is celiac . Staying away from gluten is so hard it’s in everything but I too have started .

Absolutely! Before removing gluten from my diet, I could barely walk, and every time I would shake someone's hand, it almost killed me because the pain was so bad.

I didn't give up gluten because I wanted to; I gave it up because I had to. I am horribly gluten-intolerant.

However, it turned out to be a blessing in disquise!

For me, though, it takes more than just giving up gluten. Refined foods and sugar are my enemies. Because of all of the issues I have with my gut, I find I do best on The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (Breaking the Vicious Cycle is the book).

Everyone is different, but SCD has worked wonders for me.

Last year I too was told my Gluten test was negative. However ( as my doctor knew) I hadnt eaten any Gluten for two months when tested. I was trying to work out why I felt so ill. He tested me to prove I was being ‘silly’. He would have been better employed doing appropriate blood tests. That test result lead me to eating Gluten again. Then I got really sick with Hypothyroidism and Sjogrens. I have again cut all gluten and dairy from my diet since Dec 19. My Peroxidase antibodies have gone down from 550 to 330 x

Emmer bread is really great if youre missing bread. Its a very old grain and a lot of people with gluten intolerance can eat it x
