Hi Danielleb33

😊🌸🌿🦋

Oooo that is very angry looking. I’m at a loss for what it might be but I wouldn’t put off having it checked out.

You can see either your dentist or an ENT (ears nose throat doctor) both should be able to diagnose and treat this issue.

I worked in dentistry and in the meantime you can go to this clinic site here in the USA 🇺🇸 that is world renowned for excellence in diagnostics and care:

mayoclinic.org

This site has a wealth of data and often pics included to hopefully get an answer. You can search your symptoms e.g. oral lesion as well as a particular condition like Sjogrens.

In the meantime you can try this home remedy to hopefully bring relief Steep a tea bag in hot water for five minutes. Remove it from the tea which you will save. Only squeeze out enough tea so it’s not dripping wet and let it cool until tepid. The tannin in the tea is used by dentists here in the USA 🇺🇸 to soothe extraction sites. Place the tepid tea bag under your tongue on top of that swelling. Leaving it there for 10 - 15 minutes. You can replace it in your steeped tea and reload the tea again making sure it’s not dripping wet but enough tea to soak into the swelling as often as needed. Once the tea bag breaks you need to steep a new one and repeat the process.

When I worked in dentistry this was what we told our patients to try. I hope it works for you too. I’m so sorry you’re suffering with this and that it resolves soon.

Best wishes and take care dear.

It could be a stone in your salivary gland , try gargling with salted water, and dry plenty of watet with squeeze of lemon to stimulate the gland . See your dentist as soon as you can , you might need a scan. Best wishes x

I, of course, M not a doctor. But I actually have had those several times, especially when I first started on low dose naltexone and was weaning up, as my salivary glands started producing a bit more. They hurt like crazy for about 4 days and then go away as the saliva flows through.milkimg it lightly seems to help.

It may be a ranula. My daughter had one as a child that was successfully surgically removed. Hers was huge and looked like a second tongue! It seemed to happen overnight- it was just suddenly there! A ranula is when a salivary gland swells out. It came out from under her tongue. I would see a doctor right away. Good luck!
