My AUS stopped working, any comments or advice?

I recently (July) had an AUS installed. It was activated in August. Everything was going fine until yesterday when it stoppped working, I mean it now stays open and I am back to leaking like my pre-AUS days. I did notice during the last two weeks that I was dribbling a little more than before, but I could still get through the whole day with one light pad hardly being wet. As of yesterday that doesn’t work anymore and I have had to return to several diapers or high capacity pads per day.

I never deactivated it. Just in case, I tried to activate it, but found that quite complicated. When I feel the pump it is not dented and feels as it should be when the sphincter is closed.

Anyone have an experience like this? I’m open to any comments anyone may have.

I have an appointment with the surgeon who put my AUS in in a few days, but would like to hear from you all before that.

Thank you.

I have no idea why this may have failed, but I am glad you will see your surgeon in a couple of days, and hopefully there is a quick fix for you!
