I’ve been dealing with IBS for many years now and have been wearing diapers for sometime. I’ve been very reluctant to tell or talk to anybody about it because I have been so embarrassed. As I have been talking to people it has felt good to finally let it out. The counselor I’ve been working with has encouraged me to talk to people I can trust. Have you had a similar experience with telling people about your incontinence or wearing protective products? I feel like the hardest part is telling people that I’m in my 40s now and I wear diapers.

Been nice chatting here. I will open up as well. I have urge incontinence and am in my 40s . Going out I now wear protection, I feel there are many of us out there in all honesty. I do deal with some shame and embarrassment from it but I am getting better at accepting things. Can always be worse. At least there is a reasonable solution. Love to hear from others here. Also open to private messages if that is more comfortable.
You may find this helpful as you continue sharing with others. The Simon Foundation for Continence has created a tool on who/when/how to tell others (or not) about your incontinence. You can download it for free on their website: totellornot.org/
