What type of incontinence is this?

I wanted to ask what type of incontinence is it, if you have lighter leaks outside the bathroom, and when you get into the bathroom *could be seeing the toilet, hearing running water, touching water, etc* causes bigger bladder leaks? I sometimes don't have issues, but some days the minute I step into the bathroom my bladder just fully empties.

There could be a psychological aspect to that but it also can happen with OAB and urge incontinence. My wife will yell at me to go to the restroom before I even turn the water on in the kitchen because water is such a strong trigger for me to have an accident. Our bodies are really weird. 🙂

Hi there, I would definitely agree that this sounds like Overactive Bladder and Urge Incontinence. Although we cannot diagnose here at the Foundation. Just by definition standpoint, that’s what it sounds like. I would definitely say speak to a knowledgable physician as oftentimes there are underlying reasons these symptoms occur and sometimes there are things that can be done to help (behavioral therapy, physical therapy, etc.) best wishes!
