What type of incontinence is this?

I wanted to ask what type of incontinence is it, if you have lighter leaks outside the bathroom, and when you get into the bathroom *could be seeing the toilet, hearing running water, touching water, etc* causes bigger bladder leaks? I sometimes don't have issues, but some days the minute I step into the bathroom my bladder just fully empties.

There could be a psychological aspect to that but it also can happen with OAB and urge incontinence. My wife will yell at me to go to the restroom before I even turn the water on in the kitchen because water is such a strong trigger for me to have an accident. Our bodies are really weird. 🙂

Hi there, I would definitely agree that this sounds like Overactive Bladder and Urge Incontinence. Although we cannot diagnose here at the Foundation. Just by definition standpoint, that’s what it sounds like. I would definitely say speak to a knowledgable physician as oftentimes there are underlying reasons these symptoms occur and sometimes there are things that can be done to help (behavioral therapy, physical therapy, etc.) best wishes! And thanks for reaching out :)
