I have pain in my legs joints up and down inside my body all time where I can't touch reach or really explain I have the trait I HAVE crisis flare ups especially after great weather change great stress or physical great physical activity. The trait to me does give me pain crisis

Hi LadyV77 I have also had pain crisis before in the past and future. I have sickle trait too, I was first told There would be no problems but it turned out not be the case I had my share of problems with sickle cell trait chest pain and oxygen. some doctors refuse to listen to anything different than what they learned but I am determined. i recommend you go see someone for your pain crisis. I will be praying for you 🙏

Keep Pushing for Answers as They Always Said Trait People Don't Get Sick! I'mFull Sickle cell disease and Was Feeling Strange Pain Symptoms for Last 22yrs Along with Very Bad Periods Bad Migrains. Groin Pains, Pins and Needles in Hands n Feet Burning Sensation All over My Body Blur Vision, Insomnia the List Goes On. To Be Told Year Ago I Also have Fibromyalgia. The Fibromyalgia is Causing Me More Pain than the Sickle Cell Plus it Can Bring on a Crisis. Worst Thing Pain Meds for Sickle Do Not Work for Fibromyalgia I Have Pain Infusions and on Pregabalin.

I have Alpha Sickel Cell Thalassemia I have pain just about everyday, Doctors have just begun research on people with the trait that have pain some knew so didnt that if you have the trait you have pain. I am so glad cause people with the trait have pain, but Doctors always said it must be something else its about time they are working on people with the trait have the same pain as sickel cell people. I am 68 have deal with this pain all my life.

I also have alpha thalassemia and I am glad that Doctors or people who suffer from sickle cell trait pain are writing articles and more research is being done. Take care
