You're not crazy at all! Don't let them tell you no. They told me the same about my daughter for years and then they apologize... "I'm so sorry, we didn't know." smh

Get ultrasound yearly and get a doctor that understands your concerns, otherwise they won't treat SCT with care.

Yes, yes they can. I've been researching a lot after having lost my daughter last summer to a cancer associated with the sickle cell trait, Renal Medullary Carcinoma. There are more positive stories of those with SCT, so I don't mean to scare you, but we need to be more aware of health concerns of those living with SCT. Please dnt always listen to the dr... listen to ur baby..she's living with the pains...Do ur research..I myself and my mom have SCT, my mom had to have a blood transfusion due to sickle...and bfor she did the docs kept telln her it's was due to sumthin else..until her specialist came and educationed them..he told thm tht some people with SCT do have serious complications and tht there isn't enough testing being done to determine if SCT patients go threw the same illnesses as SC patients and thts true!!!
