Please don't have a kid and subject them to this very painful disease. There is a 1 in 4 chance.

OK I UNDERSTAND, you all have the trait.I was told I have trait and I wouldn't have any symptoms; but that wasn't true I have bone pain sometimes.

AS is a genotype not blood group.

AS is HBAS. Meaning I set of sickle genes and 1 set Normal. Often means 40% or so sickle cells. HB A is normal hemoglobin. As above if you and your fiancé have children there is a 1 in 4 chance the baby will have sickle cell anemia also known as full blown sickle cell disease. Stop sickle sex. Have to ask ahead of time. Whatz in your genez

Ok, I think I have same., but I went to dr. last month and he has retested me cause some times you can be misdiagnosed .sometime a person is told they have trait when they really have hemoglobin SC disease
