My daughter 10 a fraternal twin has the trait lately she has been saying her bones ,body are hurting. Can your have symptoms? Maybe that is what is wrong with me ? I am white Italian woman. Would they of tested me for sickle cell when I was pregnant ? I wonder ? I have no clue.

It sounds like she is possibly having some pain crisis or symptoms of sickle cell. They may not have tested you since mostly Africa American and Hispanic people have the trait. You should definitely get tested because she would have to inherit the trust from you or your husband so one of you are carriers or have sickle cell
