HealthUnlocked research??

i received an email yesterday from HealthUnlocked asking if I would like to particpapte in research about Sickle Cell. They said they's pay £80 for my time.

however the number is for the postcode lottery (0800 123456)

the web-based section is a bit supicious, too.

Anyone else get this?

Anyone know what is going on?

I got the same email as well and also thought it looked suspicious, so deleted it.

I got the same, but I remember being asked to sign up when I logged on here a few weeks ago.  For that reason i thought it was legit.

I'll check it out and follow it up with HealthUnlocked. 

I just called the phone number and it is indeed the People's Postcode Lottery, and they know nothing about any sickle cell research!

Hi all,

I received an email from them with an 0207 number and spoke to someone i think is in the UK, she went through a screening questionnaire with me to see if i qualified to take part in the study. I then had to schedule a time to speak to someone in the states (where researchers are based) as it was an hour and dialled in like a conference (this allowed it to be recorded). I will look in my email inbox and try and forward it to you Zoe.

thanks for all the replies. this query is resolved now. i guess they made a mistake on the initial email. i have registered my interest in taking part in the study.
