My youngest son has Sickle Cell disease...hemoglobin SS.... I have always tried to keep him hydrated with lots of water and make sure he eats healthy.... not a lot of sugary foods as it thickens the blood. I recently heard of RedCel tea. Am going to try it....however, if it is really Rooibos tea, then I will just buy lots of that.

just a further note, if you have time please go to beet-it.com. i have been consuming these products for aprox 12 months because of the studies associated with beetroot (google benefits of beetroot) since then i haven't had a crisis and feel 100% better which is unusual! . Although another variable to add i have changed my lifestyle going to gym and cutting out processed foods.

Hope this can be of help to you
