Have you gone through a pelvic exenteration?

A friend of mine is on her 3rd recurrence of uterine/endometrial cancer, Her doctor recommended this procedure. We just would like to know what to expect during and after having the procedure and just your overall experience with this procedure. Thanks.

This has not come up n any of my groups, but reading about the procedure online certainly was illuminating. I'm glad I was able to research the topic so I won't be totally devastated it I am ever told I would need the procedure.
