Hello All,I'm at the very beginning of my fight against endometrial cancer. I believe my best chance at success is to find a surgical oncolgist that will aggressively cut the cancer out. Do any of you have a long term success rate? If so, what doctor or oncologist do you give credit for that success?

Request for Name of Surgical Oncologist from Long Term Survivors

Hello there,
Sorry to hear about your dx. I have been on this journey for 10 years with recurrences, but I live a very active life and the cancer is well-managed. This is true for many of us. I have had a radical hysterectomy (DaVinci), all sorts of radiation, chemo, and long term systemic treatment. I credit my oncology team: the gyn onc, the medical onc, and the radiologists. Mostly, I am under the care of the medical oncologist. But being active, continually working on what I eat, and having a good social life with family and friends make a difference. Also, I can't discount the wonderful support that I have received from the therapists and social workers that specialize in cancer patients.
That all being said, SHARE and HealthUnlocked are not referral services, and we ask that people not make those recommendations. However, I can give you two links that may be helpful to you: The National Comprehensive Cancer Network: nccn.org and the Foundation for Women's Cancers: foundationforwomenscancer.o... both have a way to find cancer centers closest to you. The NCCN also has Patient Guidelines for Uterine Cancer - you'll need to create a free login to access that.

Best wishes.
