Sister likely has endometrial cancer

Hello everyone, I have been a member of healthunlocked since 2014 when I was diagnosed with CLL.

I noticed that my sister's belly was getting quite big so I made her get an ultrasound. She had a CT scan on Thursday night and although we haven't received the results yet, it is more than likely that she has endometrial cancer with one or both of her ovaries involved.

I feel very strongly that healthunlocked gave me my life back because it is here where I learned about a clinical trial in 2018 in the US (I am from Canada) that I was fortunate to be accepted into.

I am asking for your advice, experience with whatever interventions you have had so that I can better educate my self and my sister.

Thank you so much for your time.

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear about your sister possibly joining this club. If she does get diagnosed with endometrial cancer, I highly recommend going to the SHARE Uterine Cancer website: sharecancersupport.org/uter....

When she gets there, have her order the Bag It which is free to Uterine Cancer patients. It is full of useful information and record keeping support. Also, if she looks at the Share site, she will find videos and other resources. There is a help line (leave a message and someone will call her back) and there are several support groups to choose from. Please let her know that she is not alone.

I sincerely hope that your sister does not need this information, but it's good to know about if she does.

Kind regards,

Corby

Sorry about that. It’s a leave a message and we’ll call back line that is answered by volunteers. One of us will call you back. Sometimes it takes a few days.

I checked the support messages, did you leave your name?

I would think so. But it would have been a few weeks back so who knows what I did.
