Mirvetuximab soravtansine. Is anyone on this trial drug with me?

Hi friends. I am on a trial drug called Mirvetuximab soravtansine, and have been receiving this drug since August of this year. I live in Idaho and travel every three weeks to UCLA in California to receive my treatment..

Looks like it is keeping my OC stable with no new tumors on my CT a few weeks ago. My CA.125 is going down as well. Just wondering if anyone else here is receiving this drug..

Thank you!

Sonja

I sure hope you are able to get into that study. I’m heading to Houston soon to see if MDAnderson can help me stay on the planet longer. 🤞🏽

That is brilliant news. I hope this gets approval in the U.K.

Was you deemed platinum resistant?

Yes, I was deemed platinum resistant. It has just been approved by the FDA and I should be able to get it in Idaho where I live within a few months.

I’ve been on this drug for about 5 months. The first two months my CA went down 100 points after each treatment and CT showed stable. The last couple months my CA has gone up quite a bit and CT shows some thickening near my colon that Dr feels is cancer brewing. I’m having one more treatment at UCLA on Thursday and labs. Dr said he will evaluate and prepared me that the treatment is most likely not working any more and we need to most likely talk about next option. I hate to post this because this drug has been proven to be a very hopeful one, but maybe not for me. We all have such intricacies in our situations that I don’t want to steal hope from anyone especially because many women are just now able to get it from their cancer team.

Side effects. Mild nausea at first, severe abdominal pain that eventually went away. It has caused pretty severe neuropathy in my legs and especially my feet. I’m getting gabapentin and acupuncture for these. Please let me know how you are doing. May God be with us all❤️
