Just looking to see if anyone has experienced the same symptoms as I have.
Gp has referred me for a scan but the waiting has me googling as you do feeling anxious.
Had lower right abdominal pain for over a year and hip is uncomfortable especially when lying in bed.
I have random brown/black discharge although I'm 44 i hit the menopause a few years ago.
I've seen a symptom of nausea which I do have, I've a limited diet, if I eat any other foods I'm vomiting for up to 12 to 18 hours. This has been happening evey couple of months.
I know i just need to be patient and wait till I get results but just asking if this is familiar to anyone else with their symptoms.
Many thanks.

Yes I had very similar symptoms nearly 3 ago. I was told over and over by doctors it could be anything but cancer. After 4/5 months I had a scan etc. By that time I was diagnosed stage 3c OV. At least you’ve been referred for a scan but please be very strong and insist on constant blood tests (CA 125) it may be something completely different but just be very vigilant. I wish you all the best
Thank you for your reply reading through these posts you are all inspiring, just the waiting is a worry, finally seen a gp that has listened to me so hopefully on the right road x
Definitely get a CA 125 blood test, as that showed I had Ovarian cancer. (This blood test is a tumour marker) Sincerely hope that it won’t show this in your case. I’ve been told that the reading should be between 0 and 35, to be in the normal range; mine was 288, which sounds high, but apparently can be much higher. Gynaecology didn’t even offer me this test despite continual post menopausal bleeding for a few months. It was only done because my daughter who’s a GP, pushed for it. She also insisted that I had a CT scan which showed a 16cm. mass. I don’t understand why they were reluctant to do these tests despite several trips to Gynaecology. Push for these tests! Hopefully, you’ll not have the same outcome, but get them done ASAP as it meant my cancer was discovered at Stage 1c. I had a hysterectomy and 6 cycles of chemotherapy and my CA 125 reading, at a recent check-up was 13. Hope all goes well for you.
I hadn't heard of the CA 125 test before reading these posts last night I will push to get this done so grateful that this site is here im not able to speak to family or friends about this yet just to know what I'm dealing with first, hope your doing ok after all you've been through x
Thank you. I’d never heard of a CA 125 blood test either, but it does seem to be the test to have. Hopefully, your result will put your mind at rest. All Best Wishes to you. x
Thank you I only found about the ca 125 through reading posts on this forum just trying to get info without Google scaring the life out of me! Hope your keeping well x
