It took me almost two years after my first surgery to have most of the pain go away. Do you have any neuropathy? Is it only one leg or both that you have had give out on you?

I have not been told that I have it,but I have problems with family drs.seems like it's one knee and ankle but many times my legs feel so heavy I can't barely walk

You would know if you have neuropathy. You would likely have tingling numbness or pain starting usually with fingers and toes. In my mom’s case it started up her legs make g it very difficult for her to walk. I would check in with your doctor to assess what else might be going on. Are you also very fatigued? If so you might ask for blood work to see if your blood counts are off. Hope you find answers soon. Best wishes. Gwen

I don't think falling is normal and it could cause other injuries. I would go to a specialist on leg/knee/balance problems. It may be something not related to the cancer at all.

Yes..After chemo I had three falls, and pre chemo I was very sure footed. I've had two broken hips and cracked my pelvis. My onc doubts chemo had anything to do with it, but I am positive it did

Thank you for sharing that

I feel it's definitely chemo related.chemo does more than kill cancer cells

I realize this is old but wanted to share in case someone else is in a similar situation. I started with horrible leg pain upon waking from surgery plus numbing etc. Fast forward we discovered I have damage to an illiac artery reducing my blood flow to my left leg. Apparently one of my tumors was in the exact area, so when it was removed something traumatic happened. There's nothing that can be done. Just something I have to live with. If it becomes worse I may have to have a bypass surgery. I was assuming nerve damage the entire time, maybe I have nerve damage in addition but a doppler and CTA confirmed the arterial damage.
