Any experience with Phase 1 trials?

I am MBC since 2018. Currently treated with TRUQAP since January. I may be eligible for a Phase 1 trial. I am concerned about how rugged and time intensive this experience is.

I am still awaiting more information from the oncologist's colleague who works this Phase 1. I am anxious about how intensive it could be. I have read about trials that require 5x a week, 8 hours a day for a few months. That would consume all my time and could, IMO, negatively impact my QOL.

Anyone have experience with trials? How intensive is it? How are side effects?

Thanks.

hi, clinical trials are very different with ph1 being more intensive. All details will be provided to you by your doctor or his colleague in the informed consent form which is written in plain language. The doctor will be able to discuss benefit/risk ratio.

At that point you can make a decision whether you want to participate in the trial.

Hope it helps.

Good luck to you!
