I couldn’t attend my 4 weekly appointment today for my fulvestrarent injection so it is delayed for another week. This means my cycle now has a gap of 5 weeks instead of 4. The doctor said it won’t make any difference but I am nervous. Anyone had experience of delays to their injection?
Yes, not a problem. After the first few injections, it is well "loaded" into your system. Did you see Oberramagau (sp?) had an allergic reaction and the half life is months that it will be in her system? It is fine.
mine was delayed when I got Covid. No issue.
I was just reading that fulvestrant has a 30-40 day life and as someone else pointed out you have lots in your system already. It’ll be fine! Chris

The half-life for excretion for this med (according to the pharmaceutical company that makes it) is 40-50 days…..that’s a long time for a med to remain in your system. I’d believe your oncologist, take a nice long breath and leave that worry behind you 🙂💕

I have been on Fulvestrant for 5 years. I had to skip a month when I had a hip replacement. No need to worry. Good luck to all of us in our journey.

Yes I have when I had Covid as well as when I went out of town once. It was fine for me.
yes I was off for 2 weeks taking a quad dent test. Appears after 6 mo there was progression so I don’t think it’s working. Going back on for 3 mo then bone scan
