Well all my results are in. The new lesion in my liver is still ER/PR + but has progressed from HER2 low to positive. I am scheduled to have an electrical ablation next Thursday the 14th on the liver spot. Was hoping I can get some feed back on that from anyone who may have done it in the past.
Also, has anyone gone from HER2 low to positive. I’m assuming my treatment plan will change.
Mentally struggling last few days. This too shall pass!
Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend filled with moments that fill your heart ❤️

Hi. I have had two liver ablations surgeries. The first was to “zap” 3 lesions. The Interventional Radiologist was able to reach two of the three. Said he’d get the other next time. A couple if months later I had my every 3 month PET scan and that third lesion was gone. Six months after that another appeared and he zapped that one too. Just had a PET on Wednesday and am awaiting results.
The procedure was out patient. I was knocked out. I was sore for a day or so after but nothing major. Everyone is different, but I had no problems. He now does an abdominal CT every six months. The last one in October was clear.
Hello Kcap430, We are all here for you. I am hr/pr+ and considered her2 low. Went through 4 meds that nothing and waiting for biopsy to test if my dx has changed. At least you know now and meds can be used for your specific type. Your first reply sounds quite simple and gives all of us hope to know that these setbacks can be overcome.
Hi, I live in the UK & have had radio frequency ablation 3 times to the liver. 1st time they had to make an incision & the other times they zapped the tumors through the skin. NEAD in liver at the moment. Hope this helps?
I'm a long timer, both w/MBC (20 years this March) and meeting MBC experts. I've not had any liver mets, but I have learned that your function test can tell alot about the health of your liver! My cancer cells have gone from highly E + to triple negative. The rad onc I just saw told me that in his opinion, I am more likely to die from a fall than from cancer! That says alot about my future! I hope you get great results from new treatment and that you'll be here encouraging others for a long time! Sending love, prayers and healing........
There are newly approved medications and at least 20 clinical trials on treatments for HR+ HER2+, testing many different approaches, including monoclonal antibodies, anti-body drug conjugates, immunotherapies, etc. It is a hot topic. I hope that opens possibilities for you.
Have not had that procedure but wanted to send you positive vibes, hugs and prayers that this will go well for you and that your doctor has a good new treatment plan for you.
I am also HRT low. When I was first diagnosed I got the impression that my dr was hoping it would be positive as there are better treatments. Obviously you will need to see what your dr says but this could be good news. I know that sounds weird but we have to deal with the cards we are felt.
