I am on disability. Had to leave my job due to my Mets. October 1st starts my limbo between Cobra coverage ending and Medicare kicking in next year.
I am shopping for a commercial health insurance plan — it’s expensive, even with tax credits. Anyway, it seems as thou Ibrance will cost be $150 per month. Ouch.
I heard about this Pfizer card and I went on website to complete the information, but it seems that since I get disability, I am not eligible.?? I called Pfizer direct and the woman on the phone was comically amazingly rude. I even told her to please slow down as I have questions and she flat out ignored me. She would not answer a single question I had. She just robotically asked for my information and then gave me two numbers to use. Basically I was approved for the card. I don’t want to get some letter down the road that says there was a mistake.
Sorry for the long winded email, but are any of you on disability that do have this copay assistance card?
Thank you all.
Tara.

I was told that you can't use the savings grants if you're on a Medicare insurance. For that reason I went on my husbands private plan. I just gave my oncologist 12 packets of sealed Ibrance that I had saved.....(I had taken several holidays and many friends would give me their meds as they switched to another.)I would have gladly sent the to you.
Ask your oncologist or medical center to help. Ibrance is not covered by Medicare, and from what I hear no high-end specialty ones are. Which is downright nuts and something that no one tells you in advance. My close friend just went on Medicare and the Estrogen she takes each month is not covered! Betting Viagra is!
I am 66 and own my own company and swear I work for insurance. For my husband and myself, I think it is over $36,000 a year.
It’s insane all of the hoops that you have to jump thru. I am seeing my Oncologist tomorrow so I will ask. Bless you for still working. I tried so many ways to keep going and just couldn’t. Thank you for replying. Take care.
Ask to get on their patient assistance program. Depending on your income, you may get the drug for free. I’m on Medicare with supplemental insurance and it would still cost me at least $700 per month after an initial payment of about $3000. It’s crazy!
Talk to your doctor. There is an assistance program. My Ibrance is free as I’m on SS. It’s all based on your income. I’m on Medicare and my co pay was $2900. Ouch!! Your doctor will fill out the papers for you every year. I live in a small town in Oklahoma and he told me once not one of his patients pay for Ibrance. Hugs!
Thank you for the comment. I am seeing my Oncologist tomorrow so I will ask her for help. Well that is comforting to know. Thank you for the hug, I needed that
