hi. Could someone explain results from the foundation 1 test. Just got my results but I don’t understand them. Thanks so much. ❤️

As I understand it, the test looks for genetic mutations that may be contributing to your cancer and guides your oncologist in your treatment. This is somewhat complicated, I don’t think most people would be able to decipher the results on their own. Do you have an appointment to discuss results?

My oncologist ran the test to see if I wouldbe a good candidate for enhertu in the future.

Yes you need to talk to your oncologist about the results. There’s a section listing mutations that they found (if any), and mine had a list of drugs to try in their prescribed order (not that that is gold because it might depend on other factors of your health that only the doctor would know. It can be a good guide though as to what to expect.

Make sure to get your doctor to clearly explain those two parts to you, maybe take some notes so you have it for future reference for yourself
