Enhertu
hi Ellen,
I would also check some of the previous posts on Enhertu here for addl info but I’ve been on it for about 8 months.
The good: it shrunk my tumors within about 2 weeks. They were extremely painful and had me severely worried that they would break out of the skin (again). Enhertu was a drug that I feel saved my life. 8 mo later and petscan is (mostly) looking good.
The bad: this is my 3rd line of treatment and it’s the most tired and the most nauseous I’ve ever been on anything I’ve had thus far. I had to ask for them to switch me from an IV infusion every 3 weeks, to once per month. It just took too much out of me. The nausea lasts about 8-9 days for me; the exhaustion is about 10 days. I have asked for high dose vitamin C infusion because I hear it helps women on chemo with the nausea, but so far I’ve been told no. It’s so bad I’m considering going elsewhere for treatment if they’ll allow the vitamin C.
Hope you get good input from the forum; it’s a hell of a drug both good and not so good!
thx so much for your response. I’ve been at this for 9 years and about that many treatments. Up to this year it’s been bone only but the cancer now has traveled to brain, liver and lungs so this is mostly a last effort to give me some more time. Thx again for the help and I wish you the best, verbena. Ellen
sorry you’ve had such a long and hard road. I pray it helps you - my oncologist was singing its praises to me for months before I started it. He’s had people on it for a long time he said. (I thought it was newer but apparently not?)
If you’re open to additional things and you’re on Facebook, check out Fenbendazole Cancer support group. Lots of people w all types of cancer as well as many late stage people having tremendous success with a blended approach. You can also ask qs. Take care~
