Hair loss ad different texture

I’ve been reading that many have hair loss with Ibrance and fulvesant. My scalp is also itchy. I’ve suddenly become allergic to hair dye. My hairdresser has tried different kinds and it keeps getting worse Now I’m wondering if this allergy is caused by Ibrance ? Maybe my scalp is too sensitive. Anyone one else have this?

Hi there. I have been taking Ibrance and Letrezole both can cause hair loss but I haven’t experienced problems with my scalp. I stopped using hair dyes during the pandemic I decided I liked grey hair so can’t comment on any reaction. xxx

My scalp was very itchy and sore in the first few months of Ibrance and my hair did thin some. I am now almost 4 yrs in and it seems to have thickened again. The first few months are the worst with various side effects.

I have itchy scalp and hands but no hair loss. Also, eyes itch.

Ibrance can cause dry skin so makes sense that your scalp could be dry too. Maybe find a good natural shampoo that could restore some moisture on your scalp?

I’m two years in on ibrance and my hair is still thin in spots. I get extensions put in to feel a little better about myself.

I was only on Ibrance and fasoldex for a year and a half and in that time, my hair did indeed thin. I took a picture of the hair loss over a week to show my doc and she said you are not losing your hair, I said what is this? She said it is thinning. However, I would never dye my hair and I am graying in my late 50's. The toxins in hair dye are really bad. I use peppermint essential oil, just because my scalp does itch once in a while, although I do not have dandruff, it just feels great in the shower and helps with itching.

I have been on Ibrance & Letrozole since 2/2020, a few times had longer breaks in between cycles. Discontinued Letrozole in 4/2022. Faslodex was started 2/2022. There for quite a few months my hair started to fall out. My scalp also gets very itchy and sore/painful on some cycles. Also, my hairdresser says there hasn't been any new baby hairs, thus would call it loss and not just thinning. Since I had a lot of hair, others would not notice the difference. I also dye my hair. I noticed that the dye was not lasting as long and also not lightening as before. Once I took a 2 month break from Ibrance and was only on Faslodex, my roots lighted up to almost the color intended. I am in my mid 50's and have been dying my hair since my 20's. Currently using semi-permanent dye (purple) and purple shampoo & conditioner.

I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried so many things. My hairdresser just used a hypoallergenic die. My scalp itches. We’ll see if my eyes and face are affected. I’m taking Benadryl
