I am on Abraxane now. I did four treatments. They probably accumulate. With every treatment I vomit more and more. Pills do not help. My doctor lowed the dose. Did not help either. The next one for me is ENHURTU. Please share if you vomit on ENHERTU. Thank you

Hi, I’ve been on Enhertu for about 6 months. I never threw up, but it makes me nauseous for almost 2 weeks each month. I changed it from once every 3 weeks to once every month, b/c the exhaustion and nausea were so bad. It works extremely well but it’s maybe my least favorite medicine so far.
I also requested my dose be lowered (it was lowered by 20%). It’s still not great. Zofran won’t touch the nausea but I was prescribed Ativan, since it has anti-nausea properties. I don’t take it because it does help nausea but makes me dizzy. And the world goes round.
Hoping you have some success with it.

Hi Marina,I’ve been on Enhertu and another oral drug for 6 cycles. I only have several days didn’t have good appetite and no energy every time. Everyone is different. For me, compared to other chemo I got, this one is easier to be tolerable. One more thing which is very important, this treatment works very well on me so far.

I had my first infusion yesterday. I have not had any vomiting. A small amount of nausea last night. My Oncologist gave me an Infusion of steroids + anti nausea meds prior to the Enhertu infusion. So I'm guessing that helped. Hoping the side effects keep mild like this. Wishing you success with Enhertu.

Are you all receiving Enhertu for HER2 positive or her2 low? I am her2 low and hope this is a medication for me down the line. Just curious if it works as well for low? I know it was just recently approved for her2 low so there isn’t any data on whether it works for that group??
I am on chemo abraxane now and can’t tolerate it. Vomit all the time. Enhurtu is also down the line but it also causes nausea. I do not know what to do. Best to you
Have you asked for a chemo sensitivity test? May give you other options of a different chemo that may work better for you? I have read Enhertu isn’t as rough as chemo. Have you tried fasting before infusions? A lot of info on that..it’s supposed to help decrease the negative effects of chemo. I’ve never had chemo…it’s always been a scary thing for me. Thinking of you..

Hi Lucy. I would just google things such as fasting mimicking diets and chemo/fasting and chemo/intermittent fasting and chemo. There are articles on breast cancer.org, pub med and many other places talking about the positive effects of doing various types of fasting before chemo infusions. I’m just always doing research and when I run across anything that can possibly help our meds work better I read up on it! Good luck on your search!❤️Mandy

I am receiving for HER2 low
How are you tolerating it? Are you nauseous . Are you vomiting. I am on abraxane now and vomit many times a day

When I was on chemo I also had steroids and anti nausea infusions and never had nausea! Thank God!

After my original dx I was on paxitaxol! Now I am on Ibrance and Faslodex. My Mets are in my chest wall.
Chest wall is local. I have the in bones, liver, abdomen and skin I need an aggressive chemo

Interested to follow this. I just found out that I am HER2Low. My doctor is skeptical about how this will work clinically for this group, but said it's a game changer for HER2+ patients. I feel that as it is just approved, how does he know what the clinical results will look like...

How did you find out you are her low?
Oncologist ordered a genomic test quite some time ago to see if I have the pica mutation . I've been on meds for HER2-.When he found the need to put me on Enhertu he mentioned I qualify for the meds since I was HER2-1a.
I'm guessing this is one of the first meds that address HER2low.
I am her2 low as well and have high hopes that enhertu will buy us a few years. I did read though that its approved for those that have had some sort of prior chemo. I will be discussing this with my doctor at next apt.
Hi. I have both HER2+ and HER2(low) - more HER2(low) than HER2+ based on several biopsies. I started Enhertu four months ago and had my first PTscan since starting Enhertu in July. Results were promising - stable with some decrease in nodules in lungs, liver, and bones. Nice to know there is another option for HER2(low).
That’s great news! Yes, another treatment option for those that are her2 low is a big deal! Hope you have continued success! How long will you be in on it?
I'll stay on it until there is any notable progression or the side effects become intolerable. So far, so good. Mild nausea for a few days following treatment, then constipation, but it's manageable. I'm hoping to get a long run.
Hi, I've now had 5 infusions of enhertu, I felt slightly nauseous after the first 2 infusions but have never vomited. I'm finding it tolerable, easier than kadcyla my previous treatment which started to cause me issues towards the end. Everyone is different and you might be surprised how you handle it if you decide to go with it. I wish you well x

Please could you elaborate on the issues you had with Kadcyla? I've had two cycles so far and feel completely wiped out the whole time, and quite nauseous too. I'm wondering if that is because of the Kadcyla, or the cancer...

Hi,Kadcyla wiped me out too, all the way through. Never had nausea but had constipation all the time, awful sense of smell and taste, last 4 months I was on it I had the worst back pain I'd ever experienced, scans didn't show any particular reason for it, soon as I came off it, the pain eased and has now gone completely.
My tumour markers were sticking at around 110 but after 5 infusions of enhertu they are 47, the lowest I've had in over 2 years, mind you, before I started kadcyla they were over 1300!

It is such a dilemma isn't it, if the medicine is working well at hitting the disease but at the same time you feel rotten... is it worth it?
