Does anyone have to deal with leg cramps at night? Someone suggested drinking tonic water. Another suggested dill pickle juice.
Any other suggestions?

I used to have leg cramps but I don’t experience them anymore. Some say it may be caused by dehydration. Try drinking more water.
Theraworx (an OTC magnesium foam) rubbed on leg muscles that cramp up has worked for me in the past. You should be able to get it at your local drugstore or on Amazon. I like the idea of a topical med rather than something you have to take as a pill.
Thanks for the tip which was also backed up by one of my neighbours who is a nurse. I've bought a tube of gel (different brand) and used it for first time last night and No Cramp! As others have said, I try to keep hydrated, some evenings I have tonic water and I quite often have a "night time banana" as it's my preferred snack to have with my Ibrance pill but it's still hit and miss as to whether I get cramp or not so hopefully using the gel too should mean no more screaming the house down at 3am!
Tonic really helps me but I need a lot. In the middle of the night, a T of yellow mustard gets rid of cramps right away. CBD takes me about an hour to work
I, myself get lag cramps in the middle of the night. A nurse told me to get up and chew 2 tums. My cramp was gone in 10 minutes. She also suggested to try and chew 2 before you go to bed. Make sure the tums have calcium. Worth a try. Good luck
I keep compression socks at my bedside and put them on at the first sign of a cramp coming on. Sometimes l have to get up put pressure on the foot ad leg by standing. This has helped tremendously.
I get them sometimes at night and have to get up and walk around to get rid of them. I am going to check out the Theraworx that anonmbc recommended. I have heard that magnesium helps, but I would prefer a topical cream with magnesium rather than taking a pill. Best wishes to you.
I also get leg cramps. I started using nuun electrolyte tablets. Just one in a big glass of water and it really helps!
Theraworkx and Hyland Leg Cramps PM disolvable tabs..seem to have gotten them more often since starting Faslodex...jumping in a warm shower helps too
Thanks for all the suggestions!
I asked my family dr over and over again for something to help . I had started to have them in my thighs , rib cage , neck , hands , wrist to elbows . I tried to make sure I drank lots of water to not be dehydrated . It was miserable , if I didn’t wake up from having one as soon as I moved or stretched it would happen . A sneeze or cough and I would have a muscle spasm . If I held onto a bouquet of flowers too long , stirred cookie batter it would happen . Dr prescribed Baclofen 10 mg to be taken when I had a spasm and then 1/2 tablet every 4 hours after . It has worked so well , I still get the spasms but not near as often . Good luck I hope you find some relief soon , it is awful .

I also use a topical muscle relaxer similar to an arthritis medication.
I too take Baclofen for muscle cramps I get in ribs, legs, and abdomen. I try to hydrate constantly, along with drinking tonic water( most days). I’ve also found the otc powder “Calm”, a magnesium supplement also helpful. Nothing works 100% so I’m always looking for new tricks too.
Do about 3 minutes of leg stretches before bed. You could do them while you are brushing your teeth.
I do and I find that a magnesium supplement or cream helps. I really like Calm, you put a tsp. in some water and it becomes a fizzy drink. I have found a lot of success with cream too, I can't really recommend a particular brand but I bought mine in a natural food store. Good luck, those cramps are no fun!

Magnesium supplements
Also perhaps get your potassium levels checked. Low potassium can cause cramps/muscle twitches too.
Same as the methods as listed above! I take magnesium supplements, calcium too. Make sure the magnesium is digestible--not mag ox--which causes loose stools. Mag glycinate and mag threonate--some in AM and some before bed. Eat a banana before bed. Eat avocadoes and nuts during the day. Drink lots of water. I use the Theraworx before bed too. And I use medical THC for relaxing to get to sleep! It's a crazy life, yeh? Best to you! Kay
I always find a tiny bit of banana works. It’s hardly any sugar and it’s natural. It’s the potassium that is doing it. Mimi
