Apart from the above, I have spread to both lungs. However, given the fact that there are holes in the skull tumour, I am anxious that it may involve my brain. Has anyone experienced this? I was only diagnosed last month and am being treated with letrozole. I would be so grateful if someone could share information.

Metastatic spread to skull
Hi MarsiJayI can’t advise, but I’m confident that these are questions you need to ask your oncologist or at least get some info from your allocated nurse as soon as possible. I can only imagine how stressful these unanswered questions are making you feel. I felt it after reading your post!
I’m assuming you must have had an MRI at diagnosis, did you not get date for next MRI to compare scans for progression, stability or by the grace of god healing?
PS - I’m no expert, just based on my own experiences.

I have a 2 cm mass on my skull also. My Oncologist isn’t worried about it so I’m not. I have spread to the liver . I was on Estrogen block and no tumor block so my cancer in liver is much worse. Ask why you are not on a tumor block with the Letrozole. I needed both, you should too. Take care, Jen
I was told the same news last week from oncologist- was very upset by it but was assured it doesn’t affect the brain. He said bones a separate organ. Xx
I don’t understand how do you know ? Did u get a mri ? My sister has it in the skull it’s pressing on her whole left side she can’t see on one eye you need a cat scan I know to rush I’m sure it’s not 🙏
I have had a skull met since my diagnosis 18 months ago, it has remained stable. My doctor also said not to worry about it going to the brain, it is contained in my bone and the meds are stopping it. I understand the worry though. 😊
You are the second to say that the oncologist said it would not spread to the brain. Mine said it could if not treated. I am rather reassured that yours is under control. Many thanks
What meds r u on ?
I am only on Letrozole at the moment. If that isn't sufficient, she said she would recommend different treatment, possibly radiotherapy on my skull. I also have spread to my lungs and fleshy tumours. Since I am eighty-five years old, there is a limit to the severity of treatment they think I can tolerate.
