Welcome. We are a supportive group as you will find.

Having a recurrence after a long time as you did is startling, I know. My first occurrence was 2004. Second was 2014. Then MBC in sacrum in 2018 I take Ibrance and Anastrozole.

After getting over the shock (which took several weeks), I worked on my mental well being - counselor I occasionally vent to, exercise, whatever helps.

I wish you well on your treatment

Welcome, Kruza!

I think a long MFI (metastases free interval) is a positive as it may mean your MBC is slow-growing. I had a 13 year gap so my fingers are crossed. My MBC is ER+ HER2-, as yours may also be.

I'm on my fourth cycle of letrozole and Kisqali. Other than constipation, fatique, joint pain, I've only noticed minor side effects. I'm having a CT scan this Friday so should be able to let you know how well this regieme is working for me.

Best of wishes,

Cindy
