I am. 🙋‍♀️

Same thing—small liver lesions, progression from bone only after 2.5 years on Ibrance and Faslodex . I started Xeloda in November and my markers are now down by more than half. I am not sure if the liver is resolved or not. My oncologist is dragging his heels on an MRI as he thinks all is well. Although the radiologist I met with about a possible biopsy or local zapping of the Mets wants me to have one in February

I want one as I want to see for myself what’s going on. That said by and large I feel great.

The hand and foot side effects are a bore though. But not world ending. They wax and wane throughout the cycle.

There are some women on Xeloda for years.

Hi. How are you doing? Are you still on Xeloda? I have been on it since September. I am going to the doctor today for my pet ct results. I am so nervous. Best,Marina

I am on Xeloda. I was diagnosed in 2019. Xeloda is my fifth line of treatment. I had bones only but in 2021 after being three months on tamoxifen alone I got a progression to liver. I hope Xeloda will help. I am having heart problems now and need a pacemaker. I do not know if it’s Xeloda or not. No one knows. I have been on it for three months. I did not have a pet ct yet but markers were down

Good luck to your sister

Best,

Marina

I have been on Zeloda for two plus years and my liver tumors have been stable as have my tumor markers. I take two 500mg tablets at night and one in the morning for two weeks on and one week off.

Hi Lgia,I was glad to hear that you have been on Xeloda for 3.5 years. Xeloda is my fifth line of treatment. I was diagnosed in 2029 with bones only and. In 2021 it spread to liver.

I am on Xeloda for three months and have to postpone Petct due to heart problems. I need a pacemaker. The cardiologist does not know what have caused it. My markers went down since I started it. Do you have liver Mets only or bones as well? What range are your markers? How often you have Petct? How do you tolerate Xeloda. I take exactly the same dose as you are.

Thank you so much

Best,

Marina

Hi Marina,To answer your questions: I only have liver Mets (so far), since 10/20 my tumor markers have ranged from 15 to 9.2 at present, the only bothersome thing for me is the hand foot syndrome. I’ve lost my fingerprints so my slick fingers cause me to drop things frequently and I keep losing my toenails so no sandals for me even though I live in Miami Beach. I take twice a year CT scans rather than Pet ( I don’t know why) and everything is stable.

I think many women are prescribed mush higher doses of Zeloda which probably caused bad side effects. My doctor wants me on the lowest dose that controls progression.

Best wishes for resolving your heart issues. Pacemakers are wonderful things so I hope you can get yours soon.

Kind regards,

Anna (LGIA)

Hi Anna, Thank you so much for replying to me. I also live in Miami Beach area. I live in Hallandale Beach now. What cancer center are you going to? I am with Sylvester. My oncologist started me on 2000 a day but then lowed it to 1500 due to elevated liver enzymes. I am very down now due to my heart problems and anxiety. I have petcts every three month but now it’s postponed because of the pacemaker surgery. It’s interesting that you have ct scans every six months.Best wishes to you

Marina

I have been on Xeloda since March 2021 it's my third treatment. It is by far the best med I've had so far in terms of results. The HFS is manageable and I keep a symptom diary so I don't think I'm crazy when I feel so low at the end of the second week. I have had fantastic results and crossing my fingers for a long ride. I now only have my original shrinking breast tumor and a small liver spot
