Currently at Kielder Forest Observatory taking part in Aurora search. I Took this fab photo of the Moon on one of the telescopes 10pm last night.
Spent until midnight in minus 5 last night in the heart of the forest an amazing experience. Week off Ibrance so don't have to remember to take the pills yippee. When you look at the stars and galaxy through these powerful telescopes and realise how short our lives are in terms of galaxy regardless of MBC it makes you feel positive seeing the bigger picture if you know what I mean. No one lives that long really do they ? In terms of the universe.
Got my 6 month scan coming up week after next but it has faded into insignificance in a way when we do things like this.
Me and Hubby are loving the experience. We are so impulsive lol should be at work but got someone to cover. Have not seen the Northern Lights yet but fingers xd.
Keilder UK is not too far from us about an hour and a half and the best Observatory in UK.
Take care everyone

Thanks Sandra. We very rarely see aurora here in UK but we keep looking and did actually see them a few years ago flying over Greenland on the way home from San Francisco and they were amazing. It sounds beautiful where you live in Canada, yes I remember the spectacular photo you posted. We have visited Toronto and Vancouver but would love to do a rockies tour. Yes, scan is looming , my oncologist left me 6 months from August 21 after 2 x 3 month ok scans so fingers xd. I’m hoping it will be ok, I feel good on the 125 Ibrance but whatever happens it’s onwards and upwards, I’m sure there are many more treatments to explore and hubby and I have many adventures to continue on. Thanks for the positive vibes, they all help.Have a lovely night.
Thanks for an uplifting post, Debra! Excellent reminder that all lives are short. We need to admire the beauty of the universe during our time here on earth.
Debbie, what an experience- it does look amazing and does put everything into perspective. Impulsive decisions can be the best ones! The night skies in New Zealand where I grew up were magical and I still love star gazing. I hope your scans next week are stable. 🤞
