Has anyone gotten cold while taking Ibrance?

When I first started Ibrance a little over five years ago I experienced extreme cold, especially in my feet. It seemed to penetrate to the bone. A bed bunny and a heating pad both helped tremendously. Although I still have problems with temp control in both directions, it’s gotten better every year! Good luck!

Yes , I had a bad cold at the beginning of December, and I am on Ibrance . I kept testing for Covid as it has similar symptoms, but was always negative. Also I kept checking my temperature to make sure I didn’t have a fever . If you have a fever contact your oncology dept., as they may prescribe antibiotics in that situation, and you may need to take a break from Ibrance if have a temperature. And drink lots of water/ fluid and take paracetamol. But do check it’s not Covid , as some countries prescribe antivirals in that situation . I don’t know where you are , and how long you have been taking Ibrance , but welcome on here . x

Thank you, I have forgotten to take my temp so will be doing that right now and test for Covid. Our son started this cold thing, so everybody got it, even with masks and good hand washing, keeping counters and bathrooms sanitized.

Yep, as an elementary school classroom teacher before COVID, I’ve had a few. Twice I had fevers, but it all went away. I did stay home and rest. It’s hard to escape from those germs when a family member brings them home. But now, in the time of COVID (I retired), if anyone in the house is sick, we have our masks handy inside the house.
