Do you have lasting pain at the affected area? It's been a year, and the area is still sensitive with pain coming & going.
Mine is the left side of the chest, left armpit
Anyone?

Hi, I get intermittent breast pain even though the tumour seems to have gone without surgery. And bone pain due to metastases. None of it too bad though 😊
I had mastectomy and axillary removal. I get pains like Charlie horses out of the blue so far they haven't lasted long so that is good cause they are painful.
I've had 14 years of pain free after mastectomy. However, since the recurrence last year, which unfortunately resulted in stage 4, the area is often causing me pain. Especially after the PleurX, which was the worst experience ever. Mastectomy pain should go away. How long ago was it?
March it will be 5 years.
Congratulations! So we can live with MBC for many years. I wish you, snd all of us, to die of old age after a long, normal life.
I get awful pain to my spine and rib and skull Mets. On and off and it moves. From on to the other. Lately. Mid thoracic spine Mets have been burning like there’s a red hot poker being pushed into my spine. I just take painkillers. They are my best friend.
I didn’t have a mastectomy but I lost half of my breast due to the original tumor. I have a much smaller mass there now that had grown a little (although now it seems to be shrinking) but when I get pain in the area I use DMSO on it or a combination of DMSO and MSM or iodine, takes most of the pain away very quickly.
Here’s some info on DMSO

MSM is also a supplement, often used by athletes for joint pain, but has other health uses.
I would check out some of the online Facebook groups like Healing Cancer Naturally and I believe there’s a DMSO group there too…a lot of good posts on the topic.
PS this is on MSM and is from the Always Hope Cancer Protocol group on Facebook, hopefully you’ll be able to view it, very informative re: uses and in regards to cancer
