pain
I had awful joint pain when I was taking letrozole prior to my mbc diagnosis. It was a struggle to get out of bed. Pain would last all day but taking walks helped.
I had terrible pains the first two to three months of ibrance. I could hardly get out of bed. It slowly got better and now on month 8 it is 95% better. Hang in there
I'm about to be finishing up my first cycle soon, i feel horrible since ive been taking Ibrance/Letrozole. My entire body is in pain and I have bone mets as well.
Hi. It’s the medicine is working 🙏
I'm not sure this is my first cycle so I haven't been seen yet, my wbc and rbc has dropped significantly so it's definitely in my system and I'm feeling sick to my stomach as well as loss of appetite at times. Extra aches and pains so it's working something lol. I just hope that the side effects ease up because I'm so tired of feeling badly all the time...😥 i hope that things ate going well for you.
I'm on my 3rd round and my ribs, legs and several joints have been aching badly since the first day of this round. Sigh
I have a heating pad on my sofa, bed and chair at work. It’s a simple solution and feels good. Got them from Amazon. Reenie
Hi ballmom22, I just finished third cycle of Ibrance/ letrazole. I experienced much bone and joint pain first two cycles( I have bone Mets) but third cycle was much easier. So hang in there. I hope pain will lessen as your body adapts to these meds. Be well!
Yes the first few months were horrible. I spent most of them in bed. But after about the third month it abated and now month eight I’m down to 95% of the initial discomfort. Hang in it does work
Hello, ballmom!
I had my first doses of Ibrance/Letrozole in December 2017; and I'd have to say that those first few months were the worst as related to bone and joint pain. With mets primarily in my spine, I had lots of back pain but also experienced significant pain to my knees in the early months. This has subsided considerably over time, presumably with the body adjusting to the drug onslaught. I hope that you will find this same relief as the months go by. Bless you! XO Linda
Letrozole was very hard on my joints from my waist down , I did physiotherapy , pain killers , ice packs , slept on ice packs . After about 5 months it quit working and was switched to faslodex within 3-4 days the pain went away ( never thought I would be thankful that a medication quit working .) but I was .
I take two pain meds due to my bone pain before treatment started so I’m not sure how much the Letrozole has added to my pain.
I have a friend that is a breast cancer survivor and she told me when she had bone & joint pain she was advised by her Oncologist at MDAnderson to take 24 hour Claritin and it worked wonders for her. I'm on Ibrance/Fulvestrant & Zometa. ! I take one Claritin every day and have no aches or pain! IT DEFINITELY WORKS!!!
Me too just finished first cycle Friday and my foot cramped up so badly the other night I thought I was going to have to go to the ER...my legs are hurting badly esp the right leg from my knee all the way down to my toes...I've never felt pain of this sort before..
I just finished my Ibrance/Letrozole cycle and they say to continue the Letrozole until it's time to start taking them both again, however I'm feeling sick taking the Letrozole by itself, when I take the Ibrance/Letrozole together it's not that bad. Is anyone else experiencing sickness from taking Letrozole alone w/o the Ibrance?
Hi. I take Ibrance, and letrozole At 5 Pm I take Claritin in the am with my other meds. No pain, except for constipation and diarrhea combo hits. My system is fussy. Then I get Tylenol with codeine and heating pad for relief. Every one of us had a sore spot.
Just coming back from a four day holiday at Niagara-On-the-Lake.
It’s finally a glorious day in upstate New York. Smile. Reenie
