Hi,

Cabectabine is working well for Susie ATM. Million Dollar question, what's the typical response time? A quick one line answer would be great for me, thank you in advance.

First line of 4 that has stopped growth. Not workable at the 4000mg a day first diagnosed, forced them to let me down to 2000mg a day. Been on it for 5 months. First scan stable liver mets. (at 3 months). Hoping to go metronomic dosing if can persuade onc.

Just started taking it. On 1000mg twice a day 2 weeks on and one week off. Only been taking it for just over a week and experiencing side effects of weakness and breathlessness. Other than that, so far so good. I will keep you posted.

Hi Karen. How are you doing now on Xeloda? I am starting my 6 cycle of 1500 mg daily. I also experience weakness, shortness of breath and breathlessness. What did you do Thanks,

Marina

I was on 1000mg in the AM & 500mg in the PM, 1 week on with 1 week off. It was still working for me at 10 months until I had to go off of it due to pain with walking due to the hand & foot syndrome.

That's brilliant, thank you all. Who thinks lower dose metronomic doses works? Dr Keith Block and Dr Mark Rosenberg certainly support it.

Dr Mark Rosenberg supports low dose metronomic chemotherapy, it's basically taking a lower dose without break weeks. Google him, there is a lot written about it. Dr Keith Block uses a similar but different method timing the chemotherapy around ones own circadian rhythm (he suggests taking a few tablets in the morning, the rest just before bed as this leads to lower toxicity levels. Susie is doing this now. Dies it work? It seems to be currently but more time will tell we hope.

Info available from both online, I hope this helps. XXX ♥️

I have been on it for one year. The last 8 months were metronomic dosing at 500mg twice per day and off the weekend. Recently markers are trending upward so I may be going to Piqray.

Best,

Audrey

Since March 2021 might have to change next month hoping tiny tumor marker rise was a blip very tolerable for me
