Okay ladies, anyone have their MO tell them it was okay to have either botox or fillers or both while on taxol. Crazy question I know and stupid but starting to look so old now.

Certainly ask your MO. Don't feel bad at all! Quality of life, right? Do what makes you feel better!

Yes, I know those things. I just think it was odd that, even though I was not actually going to do it at that time, my MO did't have any kind of strong response either way. She said she didn't know about the injectables and was not concerned about the botox. Seemed backward to me. She knew I already more than understood about my counts before I would consider. I figured I would ask her when I had a chance then if I decided I would go for it. I, now when I wear a wig, look pretty good for my age--bald is another story (which I am most of the time. I laugh when I look in the mirror--looking more like my dad than ever! My husband is 11 years younger than I am and I guess that is always on my mind beside the fact that I tended to be on t he vain side. Truthfully, the idea concerns me at this stage. At least a couple of years ago I had my eyebrows micro bladed--now that was a good thing--at least I have eyebrows but would love to get that touched up--even more nervous with that!!! What the hell, thinking of these things keep us feeling alive!

Also, my eyebrow lady--amazing in that arena has stopped working. So I am not having someone else do it and screw it up--although it is fading, etc.

Hi

Nopity nope nope nope lol. I have decided at 58 yrs old I will be aging gracefully. I had my left breast removed and will not get another one, I use a prostatic. I have let my hair grow a lovely grey. I don't wear any makeup, but eyebrow pencil as I have never really had eyebrows. What matters to me is my inside, my health. Those are all chemicals. I use a natural moisturizer for my face and body and it works great. But that's just me ❤👍

Deb, what natural moisturiser do you use? My skin on my face has become so dry with flaky white patches. Using foundation doesn’t hide it either. Perhaps a new moisturiser will do the trick. Vicki

I found a local company here in the Maritimes. I have read up on what is in moisturizers just find something that hasn't any of the harmful chemicals. You can make your own with coconut oil, lavender and vitamin e which I use as a body lotion 😁.

Thank you Deb, I will look for a natural product now. 😉

So very true and honestly I do all organic products on my face, body, hair ( and lack of it) and of course organic foods only and no package products. I eat the green juices and carrot, celery juice, etc. Eyebrows are the most important, I agree. I know Im not doing this because the thins injected are a bit more scary now than before when I was willing to take a chance. I am now 71 and think this is so vain as it is. But, I did it in the past ( a bit) anyway. Now!!! And y es, I am done coloring my hair. Funny but still on IV taxol and it is growing back. Makes me a bit nervous asking myself, are the drugs not working any longer? I guess we will see how long that lasts.

Although not on taxol (Letrozole and Palbociclib) I asked the oncologist and team about that and they said many people do but just tend not to raise it with them and there wouldn’t be any interaction. Now had I mentioned that to my nutritionist/cancer coach she would probably have fired me in horror! I have not had it done but I do feel I’m ageing since this journey started!

So true and I am not likely to do it but part of me wants to when I feel good!

Well there are the breast cancer group that will continue everything they did before their diagnose. Keep eating and drinking the same. I am the believer that I didn't help this diagnoses. I was overweight, I drank way too much, my stress level was insane for 20 yrs. I had to change my lifestyle but kept on going. I ended up with high blood pressure and mbc. I had wanted to change for years. It took this to change my whole life around. I am healthier and feeling better than I have for years. I will keep doing what I am doing. I am grateful for my life.

I had Botox on taxol and it was fine. I don't recall any drug interactions with the 2 being listed.

Sister/warrior Everything in life comes with some risk. I have researched Hylauronic acid filler, and Restalane filler, which is more natural , but more expensive than other fillers. I believe life is short so if I/you look good we feel good. :) I will have the aforementioned fillers when the time comes. Personally I would never have Botox, since I have many allergies, and walk with an Epi- pen.😇 Please research the fillers, and Dr.'s that do these procedures beforehand. Maybe a sister/warrior can give you a Dr. who does these procedures, who are in your area. I hope, pray GOD will lead you to the Dr's, or licensed practitioners. 😇
