I was wondering if any of you developed a peripheral neuropathy while on Ibrance/Letrozole? If so, how long after you started the treatment and what helped?
I’ve receding therapy for a year and suddenly developed pain, tingling and numbness in right foot. I’m aware that it’s one of the most common side effects of Ibrance, but was surprised to get it at this point.
Would appreciate your thoughts.
Hi Tolife ,I’ve been on the same meds as you for 9 months and I’ve always had neuropathy in both feet but I’ve just learnt to live with it .
My nutritionist recommended a great cream to rub on at night and it helps as long as you do it regularly .
It’s called Osimagnesium .
It’s not cheap and you can get it on Smazon or direct from Osi .

Yes, I developed it gradually in my feet over the eight years I took Anatrozole. Now the cancer had returned and I'm taking Ibrance and Letrozole, it is getting much worse (can't feel my feet or move my toes.) I am afraid it is starting in my hands now and making me clumsy.I feel quite angry because both my GP and oncologist deny it has anything to do with the drugs, but it is affecting my walking and my life.
I am trying with cranial - sacral osteopathy treatment to keep the nerves healthy.
If you read about it in medical websites it can become quite problematic.
I am about to try again to get my doctors to listen to me.
I have developed neuropathy in my hands. I'm on Ibrance and Faslodex. Also receiving lymphatic massage.The onc thinks also a result of radiation received in 2014 during first cancer dx.
I experience chest tightness and tightness in my armpits. I also have cording. The massage really helps as does gabapentin.
Hi, I was never aware that neuropathy was a possible symptom with the Ibrance/faslodex combo. I took it without issues for nearly 3 years. I would talk to your oncologist though about other possible reasons for getting a sudden change with pain and numbness. I don't want to alarm you but if there is nerve compression in other areas, eg, somewhere in the spine/pelvis, it is possible (depending on the nerve) to only feel it in your foot. You may need a spine MRI to look for issues there.
Very good point. Already have routing MRI scheduled for September. Plus I’m getting PET scan as well. Will see. 🤞
Hi. I’ve been in ibrance and faslodex for a year and a half and have starting have pins and needles in my legs. I’ve always had it in my finger tips. I’m getting a mri as well on the 14th. Praying all is well for both of us.
Hi Tolife, I developed peripheral neuropathy in my right leg after I started Letrozol and Palbocyclib. I was wondering if you concluded that it is because of medication. I went to a neurologist and he claims that it cannot be from meds in one leg only, that is most likely from radiation. I had radiation 3 years ago, it doesn’t make sense to me. Did you find anything that helps you with neuropathy?
Hi, peripheral neuropathy is typically associated with the drugs. However, it’s rather unusual to have this effect in one leg. I guess the key question for you is how it could be treated rather than what was causing it. Unfortunately in my case, it doesn’t look that it a peripheral neuropathy after all. It looks that it’s neurological changes due to due severe spinal injury. Still not able to walk.
