I blamed one of my side effects on Ibrance when it was another med.

I had been having memory issues and my cognitive abilities were deminishing fast. I was assuming it was a side effect of the Ibrance so it was deal with that and stay alive longer. It turns out that was not causing it. I have a really nasty sleeping disorder and I had been on Amitriptillin for nearly 7 years. For some reason my daughter decided to do some research on it and found some extremely interesting info. So I researched it too. It turns out she was right. It was the Ami and not the Ibrance. I immediately stopped taking it and in only a few days I can already feel my mind returning. But then I was back at the sleep problem and it was wearing me down bad. I talked to the doctor about it and he prescribed Gabapentin for that and a few other issues I was having. I tell you, after one night I slept like a log and actually woke up hours earlier than usual. Feeling fully refreshed. I can't believe how good it feels. I know I still have the cancer, COPD, Chronic Valley Fever. But it is still tons better than it has been.

I had amitriptilene for a damaged nerve in my back a few years ago. It is one of the worst meds I've ever taken! Made me feel ghastly but it did deal with the pain. I eased myself off as soon as poss.
