Hi, I take Ibrance and letrozole and I was thinking of having my hair dyed but was unsure whether it may lead to a reaction. I have had a little hair loss and my hair feels very coarse and dry - any advice.

Should I dye my hair whilst on Ibrance and Letrozole?
I did. Purple streaks! Enjoy
Yes if you wan to why not?? Carpe diem! I had my hair bleached throughout my ibrance journey
I don’t take Ibrance but had to have my hair thinned at my last trip to the Salon...added bangs and I really like it! So yea! Good for it...and get a good professional conditioning if u have dryness...😀
I was wondering the same thing but I’m in Ibrance and faslodex. I like to put highlights in my hair but I’m concerned if it will make more hair fall out.
I haven’t changed my hair dying routine. My hair has thinned, but I had it cut short, and it’s been fine. I get the normal hair color about every six weeks.
I've been dying my hair for years. Hard water has caused more problems than meds for E + cancer. The woman who's been cutting , dying, etc, my hair for years has learned alot about cancer as her husband has been dealing with cancer longer than I have. My hair has gotten curlier--used to be wavy but it has become definitly curly! Crazy!
I have let my hair go grey. It has white streaks and looks great. My hair has thinned out and now it is growing in. I use a bit of moracan oil after I wash it and it softens it and makes it shiny. I don’t wash it too often as it is dry.
Go natural. Thanks again for sharing.
Be well. Reenie
I dye and highlight my hair becsuse it makes me feel good. The bad news is my hair keeps getting thinner and thinner it breaks off because it is so dry doesn’t matter what I do do it. I tend to wear wigs more often now. The meds have definitely impacted my hair.
I’ve had highlights done a few times whilst on these meds without any problems. Go for it!
I have been dying mine with no reaction. I think it's fine.
I did and then I just used a really good conditioner because my hair felt dry too.
I too was wondering the same thing. I talked to my beautician and she ordered color that has no ammonia I. It. I have hair thinning but don’t think it is from the hair color. It is from the meds. From my experience I would say get your hair colored.
That was the first question I had when I was told I had cancer. The pharmacist said he thought it would be fine. My hair is getting thinner and thinner. I tried to let it grow out 6 weeks ago and could not stand it. I broke down and colored it. I'm just going to see what happens and if it really starts thinning I'll probably stop coloring. My oncologist said I probably wouldn't lose all my hair. I thought that was a weird thing to say.
My onc suggested organic hair color. I am on Ibrance/Faslodex some hair thinning. Notice hair doesn’t grow very fast like it used to. Also wash 1x week to preserve texture/color and have no oil anymore, smell or feeling like it needs washing more often. I plan to color every 10-12 weeks versus before I was 6 weeks. My stylist is using this brand - Swartzkopf - ESSENSITY COLOR. It’s permanent ammonia-free oil color. She mostly puts it on roots to cover grey then highlights which doesn’t go down to roots. Look good =feel good🌈
My hair was extremely coarse and dry a month ago. I do dye my hair during treatment but I think this is due the drugs and meds and not the hair color. I did something for 4 weeks and my hair got healthy and shine. I still have my hair thin but definitely smooth and shine.
3 or 4 drop of lavender
3 or 4 drop rosemary
Therapeutics oil organic
Coconut oil
Mix
Put from root to end and leave overnight
You will need to wash a couple times and then deep condition
1 or 2 times a week.
U will see the results!
I just asked my Onc NP a few weeks ago about this, and her response was concerning if I would have an immediate skin reaction/rash to/from the dye (because of meds), and she didn't think I would, and said go for it. I'm just mustering the courage to make the call and go for it.
