Hey ladies,

I woke up this morning with a fever of 102.0. My physical therapist came to evaluate me today and she said I had a fever. I was so freaked out over it because I have been extremely cautious. I have an appt at 10 would appreciate prayers. I do have a cough and a bad headache. Any encouragement you may want to share I am in need. Thank you ladies! I am forever grateful to have found this group! πŸ˜·πŸ€§πŸ€’πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Prayers for a simple explanation for your fever. If it's any help, last week I had a very high temperature also, but that was due to the first Faslodex shots and came down after meds. Keep us posted!Anja

Just wanted to update everyone on my covid test. It came back positive 😰 I have had a congested cough along with congested sinuses. My temp is running 99-100. I am on a zpack along with a steroid. Please pray for me as I am a bit concerned. My oncologist has had me stop ibrance until I get through this. I pray that the new year is going to bring each of us improved health, a better quality of life and a brighter future πŸ™ Happy New Year

Itisfinished. My heart goes out to you in your concern and physical discomfort. I have not had Covid but folks describe it as an experience that only those who have experienced really deeply "Get It". May you feel cared for and comprehended in your illness and healing. May you feel the connection of being loved even through cyberspace.

Hey Mary115 sorry it has taken me over a week to get back with everyone on my covid recovery. Needless to say it's been rough but God has helped me get through along with a zpack, steroids and cough meds and natural stuff, vitamin d3, zinc, Nac, liquid vitamin c liposomal. Hopefully I am on the other side of this. My oncologist stopped the ibrance until I am through this and negative. I do not wish this on anyone. 😰 I still have yet to get my scans and it's been 5 months. I have only been on ibrance for 3 cycles and had to drop from 125mg to 75mg. I am still taking Letrozole but havent had my xgeva shot yet for the month. It has truly hit my family hard including my pregnant daughter which she is doing fine now. I think it's hard not to get it no matter what because I have been extremely cautious however my husband still has to work and go shopping so he is out there himself. He just got on the meds I have been on today due to symptoms. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers.πŸ™ please continue. Prayer works!

Yes maam I am trying to keep calm since I have had to put my ibrance on hold for now but they didnt want to take chances with my counts being so low. I know I got to trust and just get well from this first and then get back to focusing on the mbc.

Hi I know this is an old post relating to your covid. Am glad your were taking the naturals and are better. At what point did they drop you to 75 on Ibrance. I’m below 1.00 every time. Delayed 2 weeks last cycle because low neutrophils. Are your #s better with 75mg? Thanks. I don’t want to get sick being so low.

Itisfinished profile image
Itisfinishedβ€’ in reply toPraising

They started me out on 125mg but my WBC got so low and I was so sick from the side effects they put me on 75mg. They only make me stop it when I am sick or have to have surgery. My onc pharmacist told me that Letrozole is your main med. It does mainly all the work. Ibrance just adds extra help. My last scans and bloodwork were stable and my tumor counts dropped drastically. I havent been checked since Jan 22 as far as scans go but my WBC looks better and it's not as low as in the beginning. I get my scans, bloodwork and xgeva shot at the end of June so I am praying everything is still looking good. I did have bloodwork done in March and everything was better with my WBC and he did tumor markers on me and one had dropped more and one came up just a few points but the nurse said it was nothing to be concerned about because different things can cause them to rise and she said since mine were so high in the beginning that a few points up was nothing. So 75mg so far has been good for me. Are you on Letrozole??Michelle

Praising profile image
Praisingβ€’ in reply toItisfinished

I get monthly labs to check WBC. And xgevia monthly. It sounds like you don’t have to. I’m taking exemestane. Are you on xgevia for bone Mets? I feel so blessed to have been well during covid. Continued prayers and thanksgiving for every day.

kduck profile image
kduckβ€’ in reply toPraising

What are your side effects on exemestane? Is it and xgeve the only thing your taking?

Praising profile image

I also take Ibrance. No se on exemestane except weight gain so far. 6 mo.

Well bless your heart! Thank you so much for your prayers. God knew I would need them because I woke up feeling really rough today. I am on week 2 with this covid thing and it has been up and down. One day u feel great next day you feel like you got run over by a truck. It's the craziest thing and I am ready for it to be gone so I can get back on my ibrance and get my scans done. My poor sister has it and my 86 year old mother just found out she is positive. πŸ™πŸ˜°πŸ€§ I pray everyone stays well and covid free!

Hey Mary115 I still have symptoms however not a fever. It has been 22 days since I have had this. It is taking so long for me to get well. I do finally have a bone scan on set up for wed so I pray all is well!

What a long ordeal you have been through. Good to hear that the fever has subsided. The time before a scan can be a bit nervousness causing so am sending care especially now

Itisfinished profile image
Itisfinishedβ€’ in reply toMary115

Thank you so much and you are right I am a bit nervous however my husband doesn't understand why because I am such a miracle now and I know I am and I thank God every day for taking care of me. When I first started out with this and all the testing was actually worse than the diagnosis. The waiting game can just torture you. Even though I trust God I am human. And I get concerned. Thanks so much for checking on me and praying for me😊 it means so much to me! God will bless you for reaching out!

Mary115 profile image
Mary115β€’ in reply toItisfinished

The waiting time for tests and test results so often seems more nervewracking than the diagnosis where we get down to creating an action plan. This reaction is difficult for caregivers to sometimes comprehend who sometimes think "Worry when we know there is something to worry about". This works out with my husband and I because one of us is more grounded than the other at different times in the process.. and one of us is nervous at different times too. We all seem to have such different ways of feeling and expressing ourselves.. One husband immediately starts cooking as something he can do, another spouse tries to cheer up the cancer patient with jokes, one even goes to the garage to hide out so that (in his mind) he is not annoying to the sick person. In one group we learn to recognize the ways of worrying and caring that our spouses are giving to us, and they learn to understand that sometimes we do not receive their message of love in action as they intended... So grateful that my husband is dedicated and I have come to translate him too.

Hey Mary115,We are here now at Chapel Hill. I had my scans done today and I have to meet with Dr tomorrow to see how my scans look. πŸ™ I actually feel much better from the covid however I still have some symptoms just not as bad. It was a rough ride but I feel much better. Thanks for your prayers I greatly appreciate them. πŸ€—

Hey Mary115,I did get my scans done and th hey came back stable. The dr said there is no progression and no changes. My tumor count CEA went way down. My chest scans look good he said he saw some scarring in the chest bones that tells him the treatment is working. He said he saw some ground glass opacities in my lungs however he strongly believes it's from the covid. I am still not over it. I still feel bad sometimes and still have a cough. I will get tested this week to see if I get a negative covid test back before I start back on ibrance. I am waiting on the abdomen and pelvic scan to come back.

Thanks for remembering me!
