Is anyone taking Xeloda for breast cancer?
I took a couple of rounds of it but had progression along with nausea so it did not work for me. I am now on Taxol and that seems to be working better. I wish you the best of luck. I’ve heard great things from people and when it works it works.
I started 10 days ago, so far so good 🙂
Yes I am taking Xedola for breast cancer. I just started my fourth cycle, 14 days on, 7 days off. I find some side effects are unpleasant, but I am getting some tips on how to relieve the side effects.
My mother-in-law switched to Xeloda after Ibrance didn’t work for her. She has mbc breast cancer with mets to bone and bone marrow. Xeloda has shown improvement in both improving her blood and decreasing her bone mets. And she doesn’t seem to be having too many side effects. Just brittle nails and low appetite but not the soreness they’ve talked about in hands and feet.
I’m on it. Completed two rounds so far. I have liver mets and it’s supposed to work well for those.
I was on it for 7 months, seemed to keep the liver metastases at bay, until it didn't. I didn't have many side effect issues either. If you put Xeloda in the seach line here you'll find lots of old posts with good advice about side effects. Good luck!
Thanks! What are you on now, if I may ask.
I started on IV Abraxane in February. As predicted it did make my hair fall out, but it also made my CA 15-3 cancer marker drop almost 200 points in the first month! I have a lot of liver mets so that was very good news. The other side effects are minor; weird taste changes for a few days, changes in my nails, and fatigue, but so far only bad for a few days after getting it 2 weeks in a row. I get it 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
