Grandson has flu

I came from Va. to Al. to see my grandson who now has the flu. I have to see him. He is the most precious thing in my life, but I’m not suppose to be around anyone who is sick. Any suggestions, other than wearing my mask?

Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer. It sounds like you are already at their house in AL . Did you have a flu shot? Hopefully that will help. I have been around my young grandchildren with runny noses and have not caught anything from them yet. Good luck!

Hi there

I’ve been surrounded by people coughing and sneezing all over me this week!!!... not a lot you can do apart from isolating yourself and not mixing with people...also the viruses take a few days before obvious symptoms show up so we’re exposed a lot of the time just getting on a bus/train/plane...going to the cinema or pub

I wouldn’t panic

If your on Ibrance or another oral med that is not chemo you probably will be fine. Even with regularly having neutropenic I'm ok, I live with 2 little grandsons one is just getting over a terrible virus. I think my diet helps alot it's whole foods, plant based, no dairy, no white sugar, low on other plant sugars, no oil at home (a little at a restaurant), low salt.

Enjoy your visit ♥️

Hi 🌺😍 you will be good.

You can use disposable plates and cups Do not use any repeated piece of clothing. Use it and immediately wash it. But you'll be fine. Don't turn your head around so much. Enjoy your grandson ❤️❤️❤️

You should be okay. I did two years of public school nursing and did not get sick while on faslodex then with ibrance. Hope you had your flu vaccine. Wash hands often. Enjoy him- I know the feeling well. Love my little grandson to moon and back.♥️

A mask will give you a lot of protection. Then lots of hand washing.

Wear a mask and wash your hands often. You could use hand sanitizer in place of a couple washes so that you don't get raw hands from so much washing.
